A voice that has topped charts worldwide —
and a life spent
fighting for the artists behind them.
Lifelong singer, songwriter, dancer, and performer. From global dance-floor anthems to major festival stages, Rhonda’s career spans decades and continents — now anchored in Austin, Texas, where she champions the independent music community.
Rhonda LaRoy has been singing, dancing, and performing for as long as she can remember. She began singing professionally at five years old — and by her teens was already teaching others how to find their voice. Music has never been a career choice for Rhonda. It has been a calling.
Over the decades that followed, that calling took her around the world. As a signed major-label artist, Rhonda toured globally and performed at more than 25 major festivals — playing for audiences of 50,000 and up. Her voice shaped some of the most recognizable dance and pop records of her era, with hits like “Sunday Morning,” “Party Up,” “Feel The Beat,” and “Deep In Love” topping charts worldwide.
Today, Rhonda is a proudly independent artist, and a cornerstone of the Austin, Texas independent music community. She brings her full range of experience — as a writer, producer, vocalist, and lifelong performer — to a new chapter focused on songs that feel honest and a community that puts artists first.
She is also one of the most outspoken advocates working in music today. Through her company One Big Friend, Rhonda is building a creative sanctuary and global artist community where musicians can thrive on fair, human terms — an answer to an industry that has, for too long, extracted more than it has given back.
Rhonda’s voice and songwriting have shaped records that became fixtures on dance floors and radio waves across the globe.
After decades inside the major-label system, Rhonda knows first-hand how unfairly the music industry treats the artists who create its culture.
As Founder & CEO of One Big Friend, she is building the artist-owned creative sanctuary the industry has been missing — a real, physical home in Austin, plus a global community where musicians flourish through fairness, friendship, and shared purpose.
